A few months ago I bought a collection of clays from Brazil in a local shop of skincare supplies. I thought that it would be an excellent idea to incorporate them in a clay-inspired soap.. And so it was! Using a technique called "To comb or not to comb" I put together a very special soap using 11 different types of clays, ranging from red to violet. The various colours come from mineral compounds naturally occurring from the mining process. Brazilian clays are renowned to improve skin elasticity, to regulate sebum production and detoxify the skin, which makes it ideal for oily and sensitive skin types. The aroma is earthy, spicy, with a sweet and floral undertone.
