To reproduce the iconic pattern of the denim textile on a soap, I used the 'clamshell technique', alternating very small lines of navy blue and white, and dark red and white. The consistency of batter was so thin that it facilitated the occurrence of soda ash. This is absolutely harmless but typically not desirable because it results in an uneven ashy film of white on the soap. This time, it was perfect as it resembles the typical discolouration of a pair of jeans! This soap has a high content of superfat, making it suitable for dry skin types. The creamy foam leaves the skin soft and smooth. The essential oil blend is at first refreshing, sharp and resinous, thanks to the pine (that I love!) and frankincense; later the sweet floral notes of bergamot and lavender emerge.
