'Oasis swirl' is the name of a soap-making technique that was my lead and inspiration for this new soap. Oasis refers to "a fertile area in an arid region" or "something that provides refuge, relief, or pleasant contrast". By using 'oasis swirl', I tried to represent the mirage that anticipates the oasis through a contrast of gradients of clashing colours and fluid shapes. The soap produces a rich lather fragrant of citrus blossoms and balsamic resins. The essential oil blend I used for this soap recalls eucalyptuses in summer and the sea breeze mixed with sunscreen fragrances. I love it! The rice starch lends the soap soothing properties and a super smooth texture.
