In this soap, the patchwork pattern emerges in two levels. Firstly, the soap is made with pieces of my older soaps; this creates a granular pattern of repeating bits of color. Secondly, the larger design, based on geometric patterns and repetition of solid colours, creates an effect of pieced work. In my personal visual imagery, a patchwork of solid colours instantly recalls the art of Mondrian and Klee, which were my initial inspiration. This hard soap produces a rich, stable lather, with a sweet, floral fragrance. A versatile bar, ideal for hands and shower.
